Lee Lawson (1941–2022), played Bea Reardon on “Guiding Light”

Lee Lawson was an actress best known for her performance on the soap opera “Guiding Light.”

Acting career

Before taking her signature role, Lawson played Barbara Sterling on the soap opera “Love of Life” for a season, and she had a brief role on “One Life to Live.” She also made appearances on “Maude” and “Kojak.” Lawson joined the “Guiding Light” cast in 1981, playing the mother of seven, Bea Reardon. Her character owned the Seventh Street Boarding House and discovered that her missing husband had been murdered. Lawson was on “Guiding Light” from 1981 to 1990. She also acted on Broadway.
