Tommy Davis (1939–2022), Los Angeles Dodgers legend

Tommy Davis was a major league baseball outfielder and third baseman best known for his time playing with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Tommy Davis was an outfielder and third baseman who broke into the majors in 1959 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He became the first National League batting champion for the Dodgers in 1962 when he hit .346 and won the batting crown again in 1963 with an average of .326. Davis won the 1963 World Series with the Dodgers and was a three-time All-Star. He played for the Dodgers through the 1966 season. After his time in L.A., he played with 10 teams in 10 years including Baltimore, Oakland, and the Cubs. He finished his MLB career with a .294 lifetime average, 153 home runs and 1,052 RBIs.
