Robert Lewis Pimentel, 61, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017. Bob's 4 year battle with pancreatic cancer was fought with both grit and grace.



Bob was born on December 6, 1955 in Redwood City, California to Robert and Beverly (Bernal) Pimentel. Since 1984, Bob was best known for his dedication and contribution to the IGRA. He was a tireless advocate promoting rodeos in NM, AZ and internationally. Bob enjoyed ballroom dancing. He and his sisters Judy and Linda were often the hit of the party when they entertained guests with their fun footwork! He was also a hot air balloon pilot as well as a computer genius; he was always there to support family and friends with all kinds of IT issues and it has been said God now has a new "IT guy".



Bob is survived by his partner of 11 years, Arnie Chavez; his father Robert Pimentel; his sisters Judy Pimentel Howard (Steven), Linda Pimentel Pound (Randy) and Leslie Pimentel Byatt (Tony); several nieces and nephews, and his constant canine companion Monique. Bob was preceded in death by his mother Beverly Pimentel. Bob was an amazing, generous and loving partner, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Funeral services for Bob will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming NE, Albuquerque, NM on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 1:00 pm. We would like to ask you continue his legacy and do an unexpected act of kindness in his name.
