Ethel Bertolasio Obituary
Mesa - Ethel Jane "EJ" Strode Bertolasio passed away on January 13, 2020 in Mesa Arizona following a 3 day battle with pneumonia. EJ moved to New Mexico from Illinois in 1956 with her husband Will Strode, who proceeded her in death. They made Alamogordo their home for forty years (1956-1996). For 20 years she served as an educator at Alamogordo High School, first teaching Business Education and later as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum. She was active in Eastern Star, Delta Kappa Gamma and was a member of Grace Methodist Church. EJ loved to play golf, ballroom dance and travel. At the age of 97, she is survived by her husband of 22 years, William Bertolasio of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Also surviving, her daughter Susie Jayne Pecoraro (Lawrence) and Linda Lee (Phillip). She had two grand children, Mikayla Fields and Greg Watley.
