Elizabeth Sweeney Obituary
Cliffwood Beach, NJ - Elizabeth "Liz" Currier Sweeney, 45, of Cliffwood Beach passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 9th at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Liz was born on April 19, 1973 in Perth Amboy and was raised in Keyport. After marriage, she settled in Cliffwood Beach where she raised her family. She enjoyed being a homemaker and loved taking care of her family.
She was predeceased by her mother, Carole (Vena) Currier. Liz is survived by her caring father, Frank Richard Currier, her beloved husband, James T. Sweeney, her loving children, James T. Sweeney, Jr., Travis Sweeney and Devin Sweeney, her dear siblings, Tammy Frick of Keyport, Tracy Mallon and her husband, John of Keyport, Frank Richard Currier, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Cliffwood Beach, Pennie Stavola and her husband, Dan of Middletown and Kathy Sweeney of Long Branch. Liz is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Liz will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
In respect of Liz's wishes, she will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to visit on, Sunday, August 12th from 2 PM to 6 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Hwy/Route 35 N. Hazlet. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during the visitation. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations be made to the Keyport Ministry Food Pantry, 42 Elizabeth Street, Keyport, NJ 07735 or the Melanoma Research Foundation: "In Memory of Elizabeth Sweeney", to donate go to www.melanoma.org or mail donations to The Melanoma Research Foundation, 1411 K Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20005.
