AGE: 38 • West Long Branch
Paul "Ricky" McChesney, age 38 of West Long Branch, died Sunday, January 27, 2013. Ricky was a make-up artist for MAC Cosmetics in Eatontown for 12 years. Born in Long Branch, he was a life resident of the shore area.
He is survived by Ron Strollo; his mother, Helen McChesney; his father; his uncle, Ralph McChesney; his aunts, Mary Ellen Torres and Barbara McChesney; and many cousins, friends, God children and extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 1, 2012 from 4 - 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. Funeral Saturday, 10:00 am at the funeral home with an 11:00 am Mass celebrated at St. Jerome R.C. Church, West Long Branch. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, West Long Branch. It still doesn't seem real that you've been gone this long. BUT you have been and your presence is definitely missed. No one does good make- up to your standards. I miss your smiling welcoming face terribly. Our world was brighter because you were in it. We have never been the same.

Ricky, even now I can't believe you're gone. I will never forget walking into Macy's in a DEEP Depression because the man that I loved since I was 13 left me. You sat me down in that chair. You told me how Beautiful I was and how much better I was going to be. You talked about your life and you had me in stitches. Then you turned me around in that chair and let me see myself for the first time. I was so shocked by my own beauty, that I began to cry. YOU CHANGED MY LIFE!!!!!! And I will forever LOVE & REMEMBER you. Thank U for making me Love me again....... Thank U for never seeing Race, Color, or Orientation..... To the man that taught this tomboy how to beat a face, I will always love you. It is because of you that I went on to do the makeup of many other people, from birthdays to pageants, you taught me how to bring out the beauty in everyone without judgment. Thank you for telling my mom, what pigments to get me for Christmas, I love them!! . . . You knew I would. & Thank you for making me not only addicted to MAC, but addicted to makeup in general. lol. But most of all thank you for being a great friend, when chaos was all around I could always count on you for a good laugh & a happy face. I will miss you always my friend.

There was a beautiful blanket of glittery snow the night before you left us. It made me think of you and how peaceful you will sleep. I am going to miss you tremendously, but I take some comfort in knowing you probably have the most beautiful wings in Heaven. My deepest sympathies to all of your loved ones. Ricky, you are gone much too soon. You accomplished so much in such a short time. Many years will pass and all of "your" brides will look back at their wedding photos and remember the love and kindness you showed them on their special day. Your impact was tremendous on so many lives. You truly loved what you did and it came through in your talent every single day. Thank you for all the smiles and laughs over the last 20 years. Thoughts and prayers to Ricky's family and friends. Ricky was an amazing person and left a lasting impression on anyone that had the pleasure of being in his presence. I will always remember you walking into the Michele Rose Salon cracking up Tammy, myself and all the girls. Your smile and laugh was contagious. Also-Thank you for your amazing talent at MAC, making everyone feel and look beautiful and fabulous! Heaven has another beautiful angel, our loss is their gain.

I was so saddened to hear of his passing. MAC will never be the same. Whenever I wanted to look like a queen he did my makeup. I went in Macy's on Monday thinking their would be some memorial fo the sort and to my surprise there wasn't. Ricky may you rest in peace, Heaven has surely gained an angel.

I am so saddened by Rick's passing and wish peace to those who survive him in knowing the joy that he brought to others.
Rick made us feel and look beautiful! He was a part of my daughter and sons weddings and set the day with his fabulous talent and personality.
I can't believe that he is gone from this earth but he will never be gone from our thoughts and memories.

When Ricky met my 15 month old son with really long lashes he joked that he would look so great in mascara. You made me look beautiful when I didn't feel I was - inside and out. Ricky had such a happy and optimistic outlook on everything. It was truly infectious.
