Family-Placed Death Notice

HAGEMANN, Carl Carl Frederick "Fritz" Hagemann Carl Frederick "Fritz" Hagemann, 80, of Marietta died Monday, November 15, 2010. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Marietta with Dr. Sam Matthews and Dr. Nelson Price officiating. Fritz was born February 20, 1930 to Carl Frederick Hagemann and Maugucrite Hough Hagemann in Chillicothe, Ohio. He graduated from Ohio State University in 1955 where he majored DDS. He was a captain in the Airforce from August 1955 to August 1957. He completed dental school at Gunter Airforce Base in 1957. He met Carol Ann Connor while serving in the Airforce in Korea while she was traveling with the USO. When he got out of service he moved to Georgia to marry Carol Ann. In 1958 he bought his dental practice in Marietta, GA. He was in practice for 37 years until he retired. Fritz and Carol Ann were married for 47 years. Carol Ann died in August 2004. He married Sherry O'Farrell of Power Springs, Ga. in September 2008. Fritz was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marietta, a great golfer and a member of the MCC since 1958. He was a member of the Georgia Dental Asso. since 1958. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Hagemann of Marietta; two sons, Bill Hagemann and his wife, Shelby of Marietta, Brad Hagemann of Dallas, GA; three grandchildren, Whit, Chad and Lydia Hagemann; step children, Darrell Cline and his wife, Melinda of Dallas, GA, Daniel Cline and his wife, Tabitha of Cartersville, GA, Charity Hill and her husband, Kevin of Muscadine, AL, Jeremy Cline and his wife, Kelly of Hiram, GA; 14 step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 56 Whitlock Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064 or Wellstar Community Hospice, 4040 Hospital West Drive, Austell, GA 30106. Family will receive friends 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. www.mayeswarddobbins.com

I am Shirley Dill, oldest sister of Jimmy Rusell and just wanted you all to know that I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Dr Hagemann and remember him so well when I was growing up. Will keep all of you in our hearts and prayers. Shirley Russell Dill
