My mother, Eunice Freeman Segers, went to Braselton High School with Mr. McNeal and always spoke very highly of him and his family. Please accept my family's deepest condolences for your loss. We have been through it also and it's never easy. But we know we'll see them again someday.
God Bless,
MaryLynn Segers Phillips

The one time I met Howard McNeal, he welcomed me into his family as if I were his own child. This was last summer at the McNeal family reunion. I, like Howard, put family only after God. He will be missed by us on earth, but God has gained another angel.

We are very sorry for your loss. Mr. McNeal was truly a Southern gentleman and we are honored to have known him. God Bless him and his family!

I remember Howard returning from WW2 very well even though I was a young boy of 12 at Braselton School. Howard was an inspiration to many of us who served in public service because of his brave service in the army as a part of the 'Greatest Generation of Americans'. I had the opportunity to sing with Howard and his family at many Braselton High School Reunions through the years. My brother Leroy and I had looked forward to seeing Howard again this year at our 'BHS' reunion on June 10th but it was not to be. As the old baptist hymn says "If we never meet again this side of Heaven we will meet you on that beatiful shore".
