Peggy and our families became friends when our daughters, Kim and Faith entered 7th grade at Riverside Middle. The bonds grew and Peggy was not only a friend but a medical colleague. Her life has blessed us all, and reminds us to give selflessly to others, and always keep God and family first. We have moved across the country, but your loving spirit will always be in her hearts and walk with us each day.

Peggy and I became friends in 8th grade and shared so many memories in the years that followed. I was blessed to have known her and she has left a mark on my heart. I will truly miss her but in the words of a famous poet "The memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy". May her family and friends be comforted by their memories as I am by mine. All of us who have been honored to meet Peggy have been given an invaluable gift from God. She exemplified the epitome of that virtuous woman which is described in Proverbs chapter 31. The rememberance of Peggy's pure heart and warm spirit will remain with us until we see her again in heaven--will you? We will miss her, but we have the comfort of knowing that she completed the work that God had for her to do on earth, and she is now with Him, receiving her eternal reward of everlasting life. She was my sister's doctor,and was a very caring, soft spoken doctor who went out of her way to help her patients,with their medical illness and meds. This is one of the saddestnoteI ever had to write. Dr Ward took care of my wife as a fellow @MCG and than my wife Carol followed her in to private pratice.
Dr Ward took loveing care of her from the firsttime until Carols death from cancer in Aug of 02.
Peggy's kindness and understanding will always in the hearts of myself and our 5 boys.
Tell Miss V that she was speical as I was the Nurse in the Peds Clinic @ MCG that took care of her.
Godbless you all and Mr Ward I will say special pray for you as I have been ther and done that.

I thank God everyday for guiding me to Dr Ward.She was the only one who could diagnose my problem and she helped me to cope with it at the same time. We had a bond that went even further than being black women and even though I can't explain how our lives came to cross but God has truly blessed us for allowing us to know her even for such a short time. I am so sorry to hear of the lost of a very special person as Dr.Ward. She was the only physician to be able to find out what was wrong with my daughter. She was so caring and gentle, always letting my daughter know that everything would be alright. I thank God for the gift she was to us. I will always remember her as my daughter's lifesaver and lifeline. I will pray that the family continues to be strong in faith as she was.

Dr. Ward was truly a breathe of fresh air! She was a very inspiring doctor in her practice and forever encouraging to do the right things to live and stay healthly.It was always a pleasure to get a check-up because she was so warming and personable no matter what your problem of the day may be.
To the Ward family I pray that God will give you eyes to see beyond the clouds of earth into the glory of heaven and the peace that comes from knowing that the one you love is in His arms. My family extends prayers to each and every one of you.

Dr.Ward was a great blessing to my mother. She was the first MD to correctly diagnose my mother with RA and immediately begin treating her. Because of God and Dr.Ward she is in the best of health today. We have lost a special friend, doctor, and a loved one but she will always be an ANGEL watching over us. Dr. Ward was truly a compassionate and caring doctor. I was first stricken with RA in 1989 and was treated at MCG where I met Dr. Ward. She gave me my first cortisone shot and I would never let anyone else do it after that! I followed her into private practice. Dr. Ward always listened to me and encouraged me. The one thing I loved most about seeing her was talking about our Faith in the Lord and how it got us through. I'll miss that most. My condolences to the family. May God comfort you as you remember your dear one and all she stood for and did in her short but meaningful time here on earth.
