Anne Hibler Obituary

Anne Johnston Hibler, Our beloved "Granny Annie" passed away peacefully at her home in Scottsdale on June 17, 2004. Born in Pasadena, California, on January 19, 1924, she survived two husbands, Lewis "Boy" Johnston and Blaine E. Hibler. Annie attended Katherine Branson's School in Ross, California and Stanford University. She was a realtor with Russ Lyon Realty for 25 years, and was a member of the Board of Visitors, Junior League, Paradise Valley Country Club, and Phoenix Country Club. She leaves behind two children, Sandy Larson and Michael Johnston, son in law Ralph Larson, daughter in law Helen Johnston, and grandchildren Sarah and Matthew Johnston. She is also survived by step-children Larry Hibler, Steve Hibler, and Laurie Wilson, their respective spouses Jan Hibler, Susan Hibler and Mark Wilson, and step grandchildren Stephanie Peyton, Scott Hibler, Ryan Wilson, Heather Wilson, Courtney Hibler and Erin Hibler. Anne will be missed not only by her family but also by a large circle of life-long friends. She taught us dignity, grace and courage in her life and in her death. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 21, at Living Streams Church located at 5811 North 20th Street in Phoenix, Arizona, at 1:30 P.M. Donations in Annie's memory can be made to Hospice of the Valley. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
