Dale Heath...boss, mentor, friend, one-of-a-kind. When he checked out--to use his vernacular--the world lost one of the kindest, funniest, most decent people imaginable. He taught me a great deal, by example and in words, and his words of encouragement over decades were always special. He and Robin were an wonderful example of devotion and generosity of spirit. "RR" and I will him miss him greatly. I salute you, Colonel!

Adding another short message for Dale. I hardly ever met a person I disliked but I never met Golf Ball I did like I know he would love that. Walt

So many memories, Trips to Lake Powell, Life planning, presentations to IRS retirees, tennis games, boating and camping trips, etc etc but MOSTLY being silly together. We truly did love each other, and you will be missed. Don't forget to continue to listen to the Jerky Boys, an always ritual to most get togethers.

Dale was our neighbor for about 20 years. Imagine having this delightful man a few doors away. On Halloween he and his gorgeous wife sat in their driveway in lawn chairs. Dale wore a full gorilla head mask that resulted in screaming children, curious children, children running away from free candy, and adults bringing a lawn chair to join him.
At Christmas, he and my husband switched out lightbulbs on neighbors' festive light schemes to mess with precision colors. He brought out the whimsy in all of us. He did it again with his parting words. This Christmas will not be the same without his annual letter. This Halloween we shall haul out the lawn chairs and all sit in our driveways with masks as a tribute.

I have always believed that the obits are the best part of a newspaper. Mr. Heath, you have verified that belief! It sounds like you loved the life God gave you through the storms. Many blessings to a family I do not know, but will pray for comfort in the time of loss.
