Hill, Dr. Richard J. Sr.
Born into time 12-24-1927, born into eternity 8-31-2017. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army, graduated with a B.S. and M.D. from Creighton University in Omaha, NE in 1955, interned at St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix, and began a family practice as the first physician to have his office in an outlying residential area. He retired in 1995. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, "Sue"; son Randy; 2 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are children Rusty (Barb), Rob, Chris Weisheit (Joel), Marti Grimes (John), and Sharon Denny Worthy; 33 grands, 30 great-grands, 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM, with memorial service at 7:00 PM Friday September 8, 2017 at St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Cathedral, 8141 N. 16th Street, Phoenix 85020. Divine Liturgy for the Dead at 9:00 AM Saturday September 9, 2017 at St. Stephen. Inurnment will be at a later date in the church columbarium. All donations to Hospice of the Valley at hov.org. Dr. Hill was the best doctor! He treated the whole family of Stearman's for many years. Our prayers go out to your family. He will missed.
