Garrett King Obituary
age 22, passed away suddenly in Tucson, AZ on Wednes day, March 3, 2010. Born in Mesa, AZ on July 17, 1987, Garrett is a graduate of Hamilton High School where he participated in football, wrestling and track. He also enjoyed playing the piano and violin and was an Eagle Scout with Troop 280. Garrett was currently attending UofA in Tucson and was a member of Country Club Chur ch of Christ in Tucson. He enjoyed the outdoor activities of hiking, camping and dirt bike riding and also loved spending time with his friends. Garrett is survived by his parents, Bill and Lygia King of Chandler, AZ; his sister, Lauren King of Chandler, AZ; his maternal grandparents, Norbert and Phyllis Maudlin of Evansville, IN; aunts, uncles and cousins from Indiana as well as his many friends whom he loved. Family and friends are invited to visit 4-7PM Thursday, March 11, 2010 and to attend 2PM Funeral Ser vices Friday, March 12, 2010 at Valley of the Sun Mortuary, 10940 E. Chandler Heights Road, Chandler. Memorial donations in Garrett's name to the Ronald McDonald House, P.O. Box 40725, Tucson, AZ 85717 preferred

It took a while for me to get the courage to write something, because I know there is just nothing that can ease your pain right now. I hurt for you so much, and cry for my cousin who left this earth way too soon. Know that I love you, and will continue praying for you. You're also in the prayers of my church family. I went to HS with Garrett and knew not only Garrett well but also his two best friends whom seemed more like brothers to him Adam and Tanner! I remember hanging out with the boys and I can't remember a time Garrett was ever serious or mean he was always trying to make someone smile and loved doing what he did! I first met Garrett in 8th grade at a Orchestra convention he went to Bogle and I went to Anderson and we became friends right away even went to church once with him and his family who treated me like they knew me all their lives which is why it makes my heart ache that Garrett is gone and his family is hurting. I will always remember Garrett and my prayers go out to the parents I'm very very sorry for your lost!

Dear King Family,
As a friend of Garrett's, I send you all my sincere condolences at the loss of your son. Garrett was an amazing friend not only to me, but to everyone that knew him. His happiness was contagious and he always left a smile on my face. All of my memories of him are full of fun and laughter. I still remember surviving chemistry with him our freshman year of college, and how having Garrett in my class made it fun to be there.
