Joan Arvin Obituary

Joan Ida "Joanie" Arvin, 70, a rich and famous fine artist and humanitarian left us on July 6, 2005. She is survived by her brother, Larry (Helen) Arvin, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and many cherished friends. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she moved to Phoenix July, 1969. She touched many lives through her art, coaching, generosity and integrity. She loved life, lived it fully, and demonstrated courage, compassion and humility in her battle with multiple myeloma. Services will be held at Franciscan Renewal Center, 5802 E. Lincoln Drive, on Saturday, July 16, at 8:30AM Rosary, 9:00AM Funeral Mass with Reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, Joanie has requested donations be made to a local no-kill animal shelter, or Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014.
