Fuller, Valerie Jeanne (Val)
59 of Queen Creek, Arizona, passed away January 21, 2013.
Valerie was born on January 7,1954 at Camp Gordon Army base, Georgia; to Duane and Bonnie Wilcox. The family lived in numerous S.D. towns, before settling in Belle Fourche S.D, where she attended and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in1972. There she met and married Gerald (Gary) Fuller, on August 19, 1974.
Val, Gary and the boys moved to Arizona in 1986, where Gary continued to pursue his career in law enforcement, and Valerie was able to continue caring for children and families within the local school districts until she retired. Valerie was as loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to many.
A true cowgirl at heart, Valerie loved to barrel race in her early years, and her love for animals, especially
horses, continued throughout her life. Her sense of humor and loving heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Val remains an amazing example of a loving and beautiful spirit; shown not only through her love of her own family but the children and families she cared deeply for as an elementary school administrative assistant and school bus driver.
Valerie is survived by her sons, Jarrod Fuller of Queen Creek, AZ, Jason Fuller (Meredith) of Las Vegas,
NV. Also, by her mother Bonnie Wilcox of Chandler, AZ, her brother Kent Wilcox of Chandler, AZ, her
sister, Tracy Wilcox Forrest (Joel) of Peoria AZ, her father in-law Jerry Fuller of Belle Fourche SD, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and her loving husband's many relatives who also loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father Duane Wilcox, her husband Gary Fuller, her brother Jeff, her paternal grandparents (Leonard and Helen Wilcox), her maternal grandparents (Theodore "Ted" and Clara Bell) and her mother-in-law Loretta Fuller.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Chandler Christian Church, 1825 S. Alma School Rd., Chandler, AZ 85286. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
All who knew Val are welcome to attend the services, and join us in celebrating her life; as well as an
