Dear Lowell, Thank you for notifying me. I have been off-grid and away from USPS mail since 1/6. I did receive an email from dear Pam, but again, only saw it today (1/18). I'm in shock, and so appreciate your taking the time to share while you are deeply grieving. My cousin is an awesome individual and I'll miss her too with you. She is a force for many of us in so many different, splendid ways. May she be enjoying her time now with her parents and extended family with God in Heaven. I bet she is already busy helping out!

Janet and I taught together for many years at John F. Long School. Janet was tough as nails and loved her students dearly. She also was a hoot, always looking for the "fun" in life. Lowell, may you have peace.

Janet was a unique and wonderful person. She will be missed by all. My family and I considered her a part of our family. We know she has a very large set of wings which she really earned just by being who she was! Rest in Peace with love.

Jane and I have memories of Janet through our association with she and Lowell in the Pacific Southwest Region of the National Model Railroad Association. I am particularly fond of little side jokes we would make at Board of Directors meetings, what a wit. We will miss her and send our heartfelt condolences to Lowell for his loss.

I taught with Janet for many years. She was always cheerful and good humored as well as being a diligent and a hard working teacher who set high expectations for her students.
Janet will be missed by many, but will enjoy her new home in heaven.

I have known Janet for over 40 years. We taught together at John F. Long. We had such a great group of teachers. These were some of the best years. Janet was always funny and so much fun to be around. She was a treasured friend and I am very sad. Heaven has a new angel.

Janet Spooner...One of the funniest and kindest people I ever had the privilege of knowing. A true Teacher, loved by every student and catechist in the Religious Education Dept. at St. Joachim & St. Anne. Never one to sit still, Janet was right there, giving of herself and taking the load off someone else. A true friend, a confident, and young at heart. Heaven's gain is our loss and we feel it deeply. God bless you and keep you, Janet. We're going to miss you!

Our prayers are with Lowell and Janet's families. Janet was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by many. Janet was always one to help lend a hand or provide advice and she really made a positive impact whenever she was around. I know she is sitting in Heaven and already finding ways to lend a hand. May her spirit rest in peace. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. We would be honored to help.
