August 10, 1948 - March 15, 2015. Margaret Ann Bowers (Peggy) passed away peacefully on March 15, 2015 in Phoenix, AZ surrounded by her family at the age of 66. She was born on August 10, 1948 in Schenectady, NY, where she graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1966 and true to her caring nature, went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Upon graduating from nursing school, she worked at Bellevue Maternity Hospital. Peggy married her high school sweetheart and love of her life, Richard, on August 19, 1967. In 1978 they moved to and settled in Phoenix where they raised their 5 children. Peggy continued her passion for helping others while working at Scottsdale Pediatrics for more than 20 years. A devout Catholic of unwavering faith, Peggy dedicated her life to God and her family. Peggy found great joy in spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren, volunteering in the community, tending her gardens, caring for animals and enjoying summers in her hometown in upstate New York. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Stephen and Sophie Olsen. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 47 years, Richard, their five children, Chris, Jay, Adam, Jaemi and Harrison, their eight grandchildren, Emma, Christian, Sophie, Alexis, Alexander, Sammy, Cora and Olsen, sisters Gail Ryan and Kathie Statt, and brother Paul Olsen. A celebration of life mass will be held at 10am on Friday, March 27th, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 2312 E Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85016. The interment will take place immediately following at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to: Ryan House - Hospice of the Valley 110 West Merrell Street, Phoenix, AZ 85013.
