Victor Martinez Obituary
On the morning of October 29, 2019, Victor N. Martinez passed away at the age of 87. Victor was born to Manuel and Juana Martinez in Arequipa, Peru in 1932. He was a brilliant watercolor artist who portrayed the life of the indigenous people from Peru and the Americas.
Victor worked as an art director, graphic designer and photographer in the advertisement industry in Lima, Peru, until the age of 55 when he returned to Fine Arts and devoted all his energy to becoming a watercolor and oil painter.
Victor and his wife, Gladys, moved to the United States in 1998. Each year they took the journey back to their native country. It is in Peru where Victor renewed his inspiration for his work.
Victor was an aspiring person and dignified individual. He loved music and sang at parties with his friends and family. He was known for his good sense of humor and terribly inappropriate comments which often got him in trouble.
Victor is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Gladys, his two children, Juana and Francisco, his son-in-law, Chris, his three grandchildren, Ethan, Aidan and Eva, and his only surviving sibling, Isabel who still resides in Victor's hometown of Arequipa.

I was looking for another in the obits and stumbled into his picture...curious about his art, I searched him up. WOW! What a great talent. His work is magnificent! So glad to have been where I was to discover this great man and so hoping he enjoys the colors of heaven. He sure shared the beauty with us. R.I.P. Dear Art Man.
