This is very late and sad to learn. I took diving lessons from Coach Plant when I was 12 years old. I trained with Dan who was my same age at the time. I did not stick with diving after the summer. I remember how great Dan was even back then. Deepest condolences to Harvey and June Plant.

Such a great loss! Dan had such a charismatic smile, just speaking his name makes me think of that smile. Dan's talents were the very best in the sport and this is truly a great loss to our diving family. He will always be remembered by us all by that smile, the talent and his ability to make us all laugh! We've lost you much too young, you are missed! RIP Dan Plant...

This photo is SO old! I was going through pictures about a week ago and found it. I spent many hours in the Plants backyard diving with Danny and my little sister Jana. I loved hearing about Danny's diving success over the years. He was so good and made it look so easy. You might notice I was usually along for the ride while Danny and Jana won the medals! Rest In Peace Danny.

My deepest condolences to his parents & family.
Dan helped mould me into the person I am today. Without his guidance & knowledge, I wouldn't be where I am today.
He was talented, kind, funny, and always made me laugh. We did high diving shows together, trained together, competed together.
I loved that man. He was one of a kind and the world is a darker place without him in it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Coach Plant and June. We are so sorry for your loss. Coach Plant was my high school gymnastic coach at Coronado in the late 60's and Dan would come to some of our meets and tumble with us. My mother was also Dan's second grade teacher at Hohokam. Would love to hear from you Coach when you have the time. God Bless you and June. Rick and Connie Curtis (e-mail is [email protected])

Thank you Dan for the memories...because I knew you, I have been changed for good.
