Richard Yoder Obituary

Richard John Yoder, went to rest peacefully at his home on July 12, 2004 surrounded by family and close friends. Richard was born December 22, 1930 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was a truly self-made man who created his own successful retail business in Milwaukee. He was passionate about and very involved in the art world, running a Milwaukee art gallery after retirement for the promotion of recognized and upcoming artists from the areas of his second home in southern France. He was a kind, gentle, loving and loyal friend who knew the true meaning of serenity in life. He is survived by his beloved wife Jeanne, son Scott, granddaughters, Erika and Dawn-Ashley, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Pat, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Tim, Mike and Jean, Mark and Connie, nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends. He and his wife made their new home in Phoenix, Arizona in 1998. The family would like to thank everyone who was there for us and for our wonderful Richard during his final journey. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 17th, at Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home, 4800 East Indian School Road, with Visitation from 9:00 A.M. - 11:00 A.M. followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name can be made to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85016.
