Richard Hegner Obituary
On May 13, 2016, Richard Edwin "Dick" Hegner, beloved husband of Alice Hegner; dear brother of Stephen Hegner and Julie Hegner; also survived by many loving family and friends. The family will receive friends at HARRY H. WITZKE'S FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4112 Old Columbia Pike, Ellicott City, MD on Tuesday, 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, 10am. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Doctors Without Borders, the MD Food Bank, or Healthcare for the Homeless in Baltimore City.

I was just informed of Dick's death and it was a very sad message. I have known Dick since we both lived on the Ohio Blvd in Sewickley. We played as kids and went to grade school and high school together. I remember him as being very smart and kind. I am grateful that we had an opportunity to talk at our 45th class reunion.
Dick's Mom was a close friend of my mother's and they had good times together.
My dearest condolences to his wife, brother and family.

Dick was an amazing, smart and kind man. I enjoyed the lunches at the Diner that I shared with him. He was always true to himself and his friends.
