Dearest Johnny ... Carmen and I lost touch some years back although I never forgot either of you and thought of her often. I just discovered Carmen passed away last year and my heart aches for myself and for you - as you stood by her through some very challenging times. I never stopped caring about both of you so please know - I hope you are faring well above and beyond your loss. Carmen was a large part of my life during our time together at Brown. The board of directors for the Foundation for Educational Excellence were saddened to hear about Carmen. The Italian American Club has been a wonderful supporter to our efforts. Johnny, we send you Peace and will keep you in prayer during this time.

Having lived on the west coast of the United States, all my life...then marrying and having children, grands and greats I had a soft spot in my heart when Bob and Susan's name was mentioned as well as Rob and Carmen. In later life, my wife, Eileen, communicated with Carmen on Facebook and after Susan's passing became aware of Carmen's cancer.
