Carol Leigh (Major) Sextro, of Evendale, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, July 21, 2025 at the age of 80. She was born in Washington D.C. and her family relocated to Cincinnati when she was eight years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Genevieve Mary (Garavaglia) Major, and her twin sister, Mary Ann (Jim) Spahn.
Loving wife of 40 years to her husband, Tom Sextro; mother of Chris, John, and Karen O’Neill; grandmother of Tony (Steph), Justin, Jesse, and Cooper O’Neill; and great grandmother of Irelan O’Neill.
Carol graduated from Mount Notre Dame High School. She retired from EnviroQuip Services as Vice President of Operations. Carol enjoyed bowling and softball. Most of all, she cherished any opportunity to spend time with her family whether at home, a picnic, or away near an ocean. We celebrate the gifts of her angelic, kind, thoughtful and loving spirit.
Private services will be held for the family at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carol’s honor are suggested to Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, www.hospiceofcincinnati.org
