I had Dr. B. for physics in the mid-1970s at Ohio University. I must say that I truly enjoyed his class, his style of teaching and how well he was able to take complex concepts and present them in the simplest way. He was also one of the best mentors I ever had. He gave me direction when I most needed it. My dad was a gentle, kind, joyful, and unassuming man who favored listening over talking. A true tinkerer, he could fix just about anything. He always had his volt meter and micrometer close at hand, not to mention all his shop tools. He was a mechanical engineer and a physicist who, at one time, worked as an electrician and ran an auto repair shop (Charlie’s Garage).
