It's hard to believe that it's 3 years since Chuck's passing. I think of him often and fondly. The true measure of a man (or woman) is the impact that they have on the people that they touch as they pass through life. Chuck touched so many in a positive way. I am proud that he was my friend and still count him and that friendship as a blessing from God. Rest well my friend.

It was good to receive a reminder on this 3nd anniversary of Chuck's passing. Although I knew Chuck was interred in Lexington, I seem to forget that fact when I visit the Institute. It seems I don't get to Lexington as often as in years past or as I would like, but on my next trip to the Valley, I will try to visit Stonewall Jackson Cemetery and pay my respects at Chuck's grave. He will always be my team mate and friend.

A light extinguished much too soon. . . . I am very sorry to learn of Chuck's passing. Not only was Chuck a star football player, but he was also a stellar person--warm, friendly, unpretentious; he had a wonderful sense of humor and a polite manner. Everybody he knew considered him a friend. I remember sitting in front of him in Mr. Shirley's World History class--always an interesting class period. My sincere sympathies to Chuck's family. He will always be with you in your memories and in your heart.
