Donald Willard Marquardt, of Blue Ash, Ohio, passed away peacefully on the evening of Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the age of 86. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Willard and Alma (Steiner) Marquardt.
Devoted husband of 64 years to his wife, Antoinette “Toni” Marquardt; father to Linda (Jim) Moeggenberg, Sue (Bob) Kettler, Steve (Nancy) Marquardt, Kathleen (the late Jeff) Collier, and Thom (Megan) Marquardt; grandfather to Marie (Scott) Day, Rachel Moeggenberg, Olivia Kettler, Christian Kettler, Bryan (Liz) Marquardt, Mike (Kristin) Marquardt, Nick Marquardt, Alex Marquardt, Tony (Erin) Marquardt, Greg Collier, Joe Marquardt, and Ben Marquardt; great grandfather to Peyton, Lucas, Caroline, Otto, Calvin, and Madison; brother to Mary McDonald, Jean Hill, and Connie Berens.
Don and Toni have been longtime parishioners of the former Our Lady of the Sacred Heart parish in Reading. He retired from Ford Motor Company, as an electrician, completing 38 years of employment. During that time, he began Marquardt Electric providing residential and commercial services.
Don worked tirelessly to support his family and became the pillar of our family’s foundation. He held a quiet demeanor but adored sports of all kinds which included playing golf, watching our local college and professional teams, and cheering the youth teams from the sidelines of countless sporting events through the years.
Visitation will be held 5-7 PM on Monday, February 23rd at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Road, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 24th at Our Lady of the Valley Parish, 330 W Vine Street, Cincinnati, OH 45215. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to a reception in the Community Room at the funeral home until 3 PM.
