Not sure what to say?

Bonnie was a wonderful teacher and colleague. I enjoyed working with her, and her commitment to children with Down Syndrome was a wonderful model for all of those she trained. She is missed.

Dr. Patterson was an amazing mentor, educator and above all - advocate. Her quiet presence was only facade for all she had to say and do for the Down Syndrome community and population at large. She had the kindest smile and the fiercest dedication. I am honored to have trained under her and walked our DDBP/ Thomas Center hallways beside her.

Much love

Dr. Patterson was a true pillar of Cincinnati Children's Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics where she was long-time director of the Thomas Center for Down Syndrome. She was a tremendous gift to the DBP field, having provided wonderful care to legions of patients and training to generations of developmental-behavioral pediatricians!! Dr. Patterson is sorely missed, but her legacy lives on.

I am blessed to have had Bonnie in my life. She was so kind & caring, with much passion for family & furry friends.she & Audry have a special place in my heart. Bill & I offer our heartfelt condolences to all the family. With lunch love; Sandy & Bill Meyer

Bonnie was a wonderful physician, person and advocate for the Down syndrome community. The work that she did and time she committed to helping people will never be forgotten. It is sad to know of her passing. Rest in peace, Bonnie.

Dr. Patterson was my most influential professional mentor. She asked me to join the Thomas Center for Down Syndrome as an educational specialist over 20 years ago. I credit Bonnie for giving me the greatest gift of my career - to support children with Down syndrome. Bonnie was one of a kind, and her legacy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital will continue in the many professionals she trained and encouraged.

An important colleague ion the small community of researchers studying Down syndrome, Bonnie worked to categorize the effects of the syndrome and how best to optimize the lives of individuals affected by this condition long before this research was "popular" and adequately supported. Her compassion for her patients and her clinical insights provided a model for those undertaking fundamental research into the effects of trisomy 21. She will be greatly missed.

Deepest sympathy and respect.
