Aunt Faye was a gentle and kind woman who also enjoyed a good laugh. And she and my Mom could talk for hours! She will be greatly missed. Sending my love to dear Uncle Carl, Chuck, and Aunt Faye’s beloved “Beth Anne.”

What a neat gal. Always had a smile on her face. Loved family. Many fun times with company picnics etc. during Carls tenure with Sharon Woods. Laughed at my silly jokes and had nothing negative to say about anyone. I know she will be missed. May her soul rest in the Peace of Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faye Marion Wernery (nee Bronner), age 85, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 with her family at her side. She was born June 6, 1936 in Reading, Ohio to the late William and Florence (Schehr) Bronner. Devoted wife of 67 years to her loving husband, Charles “Carl” Wernery. In addition to her parents, Faye is preceded in death by siblings; Florence, Paula, Helen, Patricia, William, and Peter. Dear Sister of Janice Foley. Cherished mother of Charles “Chuck” (Darlyne) Wernery II, Elizabeth (Kenneth) Broomall, and the late Timothy (Beth) Wernery; adoring Grandmother of Charles III, Christina (Brian) Grote, Megan (Adam) Tieger, Mary, and Daniel Broomall. Great Grandmother of Holly Ann Tieger. She leaves many other family members and friends.
Faye was a lifelong resident of Reading. From an early age, Faye was surrounded by a faith-filled family, including seven siblings. She graduated from Our Lady of Angels High School and married Carl the following October. They shared 67 years of true love, genuine caring and lots of hand-holding. She remained close to her siblings, especially her sisters known as the “Bronner Girls.” She took pride in her children, and doted over her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Faye enjoyed many hobbies and interests. She spent hours in her garden growing peace roses and lilies of the valley, earning top awards from the Reading Gardening Club. She spent summer days with the ladies – affectionately called the “Pool Rats”-- in their designated corner of the Reading Community Pool. You would always see Faye walking around Reading, whether it was to IGA for groceries or Don’s Creamy Whip for a cone. She was known for her excellent German cooking, including sauerbraten, German potato salad, and her highly acclaimed homemade goetta. She also loved baking cookies and had the best coffee cake recipe. She was a caring woman who cherished all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
