George M. Moore, 95, passed away peacefully on the evening of November 20th, 2025 at his home in Blue Ash, Ohio. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Alvin and Linnie (Buck) Moore.
Devoted husband of 71 years to his wife, Shirley (Wells) Moore; loving father to his sons, Anthony “Tony” Moore, Randy Moore, and Marty Moore; brother to his siblings, Herbert Moore, Delbert Moore, Elizabeth Brooks, the late Gordon Moore, and the late Clarence Moore; cherished “Papaw” to his grandchildren, Josh Moore (Kali), Mandy Lee, and Shyvonne Hardman (Matt); 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
George proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War conflict. He worked for 38 years until his retirement as a machinist with the former Nivison Weiskopf company in Reading. He worked hard to support his family but was also known as George “Good Time” Moore for his positivity and humor.
George and Shirley have been members at Mission Baptist Church. George enjoyed playing in the softball leagues. He was a natural athlete and also loved playing golf. He was an avid outdoorsman who built so many memories with his family boating, camping, fishing, and hunting.
Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Wednesday, November 26th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will follow onsite at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George’s honor may be made to any charity of donor’s choice.
