Mr. Horace Raines, Jr., departed this life on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 7:30 p.m., Manor Care Health Service in Arlington, Va. He was born on December 21, 1937, to the late Horace and Ida Mae Goode Raines. Horace lived and worked in New York City for nineteen years and relocated to Washington, D.C., where he was employed and retired from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Elizabeth Raines Taylor and a brother, John Wilson Raines. Horace leaves to cherish his memories his brother and sister-in-law, Franklyn Raines and Arti Graves Raines; a favorite aunt, Geneva Goode Smith of Baltimore, Md., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
