Gloria Jeannine Sporing (nee Gray), went to be with the Lord peacefully on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the age of 86. She was born and raised in Norwood, Ohio and raised her family in Blue Ash, Ohio. Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Kathryn (Thacker) Gray, former husband, Jerome (Jerry) William Sporing; baby boy Donald Roy Sporing; siblings, Richard Gray, Roy Gray, Sherry Sampson and Shirley Ann Gray. Survived by her children, David (Peggy) Sporing, William (Keri) Sporing, Richard Sporing, Scott Sporing, Gloria Streit and Kathryn (Thomas) Zgarba. Grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. “Children are God’s love-gift; they are heaven’s generous reward.” Psalm 127:3
For almost 30 years Jeannine drove a school bus for Sycamore Schools in Blue Ash, Ohio. Jeannine was recognized in the Cincinnati Enquirer for her love of children and held a special place in her heart for those with special needs. She learned sign language to assist the children she looked after on her routes to St. Rita’s.
Jeannine and her family attended Winton Place Baptist Church where her father-in-law William Sporing preached. Her sense of humor, wit and smile will be missed by all who knew her. “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.” Proverbs 31:31
Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 11th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will follow the service at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
