God bless you always Mr Stroth Sr May he Rest In Peace. May the Lord find Mercy, meet, and guide him to heaven to join his loved ones. I pray for all his family and friends that mourn him to find many blessings prayers and all love and strength needed to endure the pain of their loss. God bless you all!

I will always remember Mr. Stroth as owner and "handyman" of Pizza Palazzo (Best pizza & meeting place in Oak Park in the 90´s!) wearing his signature overalls amply supplied with tools. His jovial good nature and conversation brought a smiles to everyone. My sincere condolences to all the Stroth family from the Politi family.

I worked with John for many years at Arington Park. A true Gentleman. Thoughts and prayers to the family. So sorry for your loss.

John E. Stroth, age 93, of Oak Park; beloved husband of 61 years of the late Melita L. Stroth; loving father of John, Will (Lauren Strzalka), Peter (Mary) Stroth, Elizabeth (John) Slaten, Miles (Kristin) Stroth, Mia (Brian) Williams and the late Matthew and Paul Stroth; cherished grandfather of Eileen (Nick) Cornell, Madeleine, Bridget (Hayata) Nakamura and Daniel Stroth, Savannah and Miles Slaten, Melita and Finbar Stroth, Colin, and Alexa and Ariel Williams; great grandfather of Benjamin, Nicholas and Maxwell Nakamura; dear brother of the late Betty (the lake Michael) Esposito and the late Agnes (the late Raymond) Sisco; dear brother-in-law of the late Miles (the late Judy) Lynch; fond uncle of many.

John was a graduate of Fenwick High School, Oak Park, IL and Loyola University, Chicago, IL. John served honorably in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956 at White Sands Proving Grounds, New Mexico. He was a member and past president of Local 750, Treasurers and Ticket sellers Union.

Visitation Tuesday, October 19th from 3 – 9 p.m. at The Elms Funeral Home, 7600 W. Grand Ave., Elmwood Park, IL. Funeral Prayers 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 20th at the funeral home to St. Giles Catholic Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Private interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
