Arlene, You have my deepest sympathies. I can honestly remember even as a child at Bryn Mawr church admiring you both, easily seeing such a loving and dedicated Christian family. Joe was a gentle man , and a gentleman.

Joseph E.'s Obituaries

Joseph E. Blamick, 89, of North Huntingdon, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016. He was born July 12, 1927 in Port Vue and was the son of the late Charles James and Hilda Marie Johnson Blamick. He was a member of the Norwin Christian Church, Duquesne - McKeesport Lodge # 731 F & AM, Zerubbabel-Duquesne Royal Arch Chapter No. 162, and was also a 50 year member of the Pittsburgh Commandery No. 1 Knights Templar. He was a member of the former McKeesport Lodge # 641 F & AM. He was a volunteer for the Central Food Pantry in Elizabeth Township. In 2001, Joseph received the "Volunteer of the Year Award" from his Masonic Lodge. Joseph was a US Navy Veteran and served in WWII and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Volk Blamick, daughter, Larae (Barney) Kearns of Wilkins Township, and Ellen Jo (Tom) West of Rostraver, son, Mark Douglas Blamick of North Huntingdon, sisters, Kathryn Seitz and Vervaine Mains of White Oak, and Elveria Johnson of McKeesport, brother, Wesley (Carolyn) Blamick of Tallahassee, FL, grandchildren, Jamie Arlene Blamick, Tucker Joseph West, Samuel Thomas West and Grace Anna West, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert and Charles Blamick and sister, Jeannette Jeney. Friends are welcome Saturday, November 26 from 9:30-11:00 am. at the Norwin Christian Church. Funeral service with a Masonic Service and Military Honors Service will be held there at 11:00 am with The Rev. Terry Erwin and Rev. Rob Grandi, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Christian at P.O. Box 230, Mill Run, PA 15464 or the Norwin Christian Church at 9610 Barnes Lake Road, Irwin, PA 15642.
