Not sure what to say?

Joyce was a friend who also was a public teacher at Mercy. I was in the van but she was in the building. We sometimes shared lunch in the teacher lunchroom. We each had boys at the elementary school. She was such a positive person and always so gracious and warm. Know she will be missed but remembered as the truly kind teacher she was.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

During my senior year I went through one of the worst times of my life with little to no support. This wonderful caring woman showed me compassion and kindness. God rest her soul.

Joyce's Obituary

Joyce Ann Clerc, 83, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025. Born in March 1942 in Lee City, Kentucky, Joyce lived a life full of love, laughter, and generosity.

Joyce graduated from Hazel Green Academy and then Morehead State University, where she was voted the Homecoming Queen. She dedicated many years of her life to education, serving as a beloved teacher and alumnae coordinator at Mother of Mercy High School. Her passion for teaching and her unwavering support of her students left a lasting impact on generations of young women, and she was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A true lover of life, Joyce found joy in travel—especially cruising the world with her late husband, Bob—and had a special place in her heart for animals, particularly her dogs. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and friends, sharing stories, laughter, and love.

She is survived by her son, Dave Jeanclerc, and his wife, Lorrie; and her two grandsons, Ethan and Lucas Jeanclerc, who brought immense pride and joy to her life.

Joyce will be remembered for her warm heart, her endless positivity, her devotion to others, and the countless lives she touched through her work and friendship.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, April 25th, 2025, at The Community of the Good Shepherd Church, 8815 E. Kemper Rd. in Cincinnati, Ohio. All are invited to join in continued fellowship to a reception which will be held following Mass, also at Good Shepherd Church.

Burial will then follow at 3:00pm at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
