Deepest condolences, Linda and to your whole family. Though I never met your dad, I felt his love and good spirit, not just through the many stories you told me, but also in the way that his influence shone through in you.
Wishing you many moments now, and in the future, full of happy memories of him and a long life, well lived.

Jude “Chick” Wernery, beloved husband of 54 years to Jane F. (nee Wys). Devoted father of Mark (Debi) Wernery, Pam (Adam) Sturgill, Linda Wernery, Connie (Chris) Holtmeier, Dan (Kathryn) Wernery. Loving grandfather of Tim (Carly), Bryan, Sean (Sean), Scott, David, Anthony, Seth, Teddy, as well as great grandfather of three. Dear brother of Carl (the late Faye) Wernery and the late James (the late Marianne) Wernery. Jude also leaves nieces, nephews, as well as many dear friends. Passed away peacefully, Saturday, October 29, 2022. Age 90.
Jude was a lifelong resident of Reading. He was also a proud Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Jude possessed a witty sense of humor which served him well as he was the type who was always up for making new friends as well as his latest new adventure. A devoted family man, Jude was a loving and supportive caregiver to his wife Jane before she passed in 2011. Jude’s family could always count on him, and he showed his love in abundance. Whether it was regaling the crowd with his amazing story telling ability, enjoying his latest roller coaster or crossword puzzle, or the way in which he prepared holiday meals for those he loved, Jude was always a kind and generous soul who will be sorely missed by those fortunate to have known him.
