Kathy Brown

Kathleen Lynn (Schottner) Brown, of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 4, 2025 at the age of 66. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised by her late parents, John R. and Ruth (Hix) Schottner. 

She is survived by her children, Jason Brown, Kevin Brown, and Dennis (Danielle) Brown and their father, Richard “Cardo” Brown; honorary daughter, Melanie Adkins; cherished grandmother to Mason Brown, Madison Brown, Murdock Brown, Abraham Brown, Rylee Sears, Addy Sears, Eryn Sears, and Maisey Sears; sisters, Mary Bell and Ginny Galinari; brother, Johnny Schottner; among her host of cherished extended family, friends, and her beloved cat, Munchkin. 

Kathy graduated from Deer Park High School and was a member of the former Trinity United Church of Christ. She enjoyed finding a good sale, rooting for the Bengals, and appreciated the simple things in life. Throughout her life, she embodied strength but with a nurturing heart who often took in those in need. Most of all, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. 

A memorial gathering will begin at 4 PM until the time of service at 6 PM on Monday, October 13th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
