Kenneth Mofield passed away peacefully at his residence in Chattanooga, TN, the morning of September 6, 2025, at the age of 97. He was born on October 17, 1927, in Pulaski County, KY and grew up there.
Preceded in death by his parents, John Silas Mofield and Ruby Edith (nee Warren) Mofield; wife of 75 years, Dorothy P. Mofield; son, James D. Mofield; Siblings, Brennies Mofield and John Paul Mofield.
Survived by his son, Gregory (Carrie) Mofield; daughter-in-law: Gail Mofield; grandchildren: Hanna Mofield, Jerika (Lonnie) Stewart, John Mofield, Katie Mofield, Bill Mofield, Charlie Mofield and Meggy Mofield; great granddaughter, Ida Mae Stewart; siblings: Geraldine Wiles, James E. Mofield, and Doria (Damon) Owens; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Kenneth and Dorothy were longtime residents of Dillonvale, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where they raised their family. He was a very hardworking man. He spent 36 years working for General Electric. He also spent his spare time managing and working on his rental properties. He had a passion for baseball (Cincinnati Reds), music and working in his garden. Ken never met a stranger and loved to tell stories. He will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 10 am until the time of service at noon Saturday, September 13th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. A reception will be held in the Community Room at the funeral home until 3pm. A private burial will be held on Monday, September 15th at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
