Sid was a rock star, my older first cousin on my mom's side, and someone I looked up to. When my mom visited her sister, Sid would open his bedroom door and play rock music really loud so I wouldn't be bored.

At a young age, he moved to the states, got an aerospace enginerting degree and met his gorgeous wife, Norma Sue. They had three beautiful sons and Sid built a successful business.

Sid and Norma were a couple who lit up the room wherever they went. When they...

Obituary

Khalid "Sid"'s Obituary

Khalid Aziz Siddiqi, 68, of Anderson Twp, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023. The world got a little less bright and a lot less fun today as it’s with great sadness we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. He went by many names, Khalid, Papa, The Rocket, The Mayor, Hamilton Nash, Dad, but most everyone just knew him simply as Sid. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and friends.  As we held onto hope the last few weeks, we’ve heard endless stories about what a life of significance Sid lived and the unbelievable impact he left on so many people. We laughed and cried as we remembered how truly lucky we were to know this giant of a man. He lived more in his 68 years than anyone else could in 3 lifetimes.

Born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1954 in Pakistan to the late Aziz Ismail and Rabia (Kirmani) Siddiqi. Brother to 5 sisters, 1 brother and a brother who passed in infancy. Cherished husband to his wife, Norma S. (King) Siddiqi; devoted father to Eric, Adam (Jenna) and Jeffrey (fiancé Tiffany) Siddiqi; adoring “Papa” to his grandchildren, Zaiden, Lofton and Raegan; siblings, Shahid Aziz Siddiqi, Nigar Asghar, Farhat Noor, Naz Akhtar, Nishat Kazi and Seema Arshad.

He never slowed down, never complained, never made excuses, never quit and gave everything he had until his last breath to the ones he loved. Sid came to this country with nothing at the age of 17 and left a legacy that will live on forever. It’s a heartbreaking day for those who love him, but our faith in Christ has assured us with the knowledge we’ll see him again. Eat a great meal, laugh over stories of him, and raise a big glass in his honor tonight, because he’d want you to never waste a single minute you have on this earth, just as he never did. He was a true original, a self-proclaimed “super passionate fella” and we will never see another of his like.

Visitation will be from 12:30 PM until the time of service at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will follow the service at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
