Learned this morning about the passing of Larry. We grew up on the same street in Chadron. My mind races back to so many memories. His mom and dad were community leaders in the city. Their home was on my paper route. When Chadron Prep closed down 18 of us joined Larry and other in the public high school. I recall Larry's Johnny rogers like play in the football game in either Rushville or Gordon. Believe we played baseball on Ward 4 team. Simply said a great guy with an inviting...

Larry was such a fine man! So much fun to be around (always with Marcia) and so humble (I had no idea he wa a Hall of Fame athlete at Chadron State College!). We will definitely miss Larry in the remainder of this life. Our prayers are with Marcia and all of their family.

Marcia & Family you are in our thoughts & prayers as you celebrate Larry's life. He touched so many lives in a positive way and we always enjoyed the many conversations, especially about sports. Larry will be remembered by so many in the highest regard!

Marcia, Abby, Jeff and the rest of the family you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Larry was a very special man. When I think of all the hours we spent together in the bleachers for basketball, volleyball, softball and the sidelines for soccer I smile. Larry was always there with words of encouragement and maybe a friendly word for the ref. Larry never failed to ask about our kids and my parents when we saw each other. He was generous, genuine and truly someone that will have a special...

Larry was such a meaningful presence to all of us growing up with Abby. I have many fond memories of him as our youth basketball coach—he truly believed in all of us and held us to high standards because he wanted us to see our own potential, both in sports and in life.
Larry and Marcia were always so kind, genuine, and caring. Marcia, Abby, Jeff and family, I am so very sorry for your loss.
