Lois J. Stringer

Lois J. Stringer (nee Binkley), passed away peacefully on the afternoon of Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late George and Inez (nee Hoggins) Binkley. Lois graduated from Norwood High School and resided in Madeira for over 70 years. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orie Stringer, who died at a tragically young age which left Lois to provide and care for their children as a single mother. Devoted mother to her children, Cheryl (Larry) Hicks, Joe (Barb) Stringer, the late Michael (Sue) Stringer, and Theresa Stringer; cherished grandmother of Jesse, Miranda, Rachel, Michael, Jason, and Adam; great grandmother of 14; great-great grandmother of 3; and a beloved friend and family member to many throughout her lifetime. 

Lois worked for many years as a receptionist for a doctor’s office along with many other roles she took on to support her family. Her heart was generous and caring. She was a longtime member of the Madeira-Silverwood Presbyterian Church where she enjoyed being part of so many activities and her Pioneers Seniors group.

Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM Friday, March 28th at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be onsite at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
