Not sure what to say?

I worked with Maria in Medical Records for years and when I lost my job she went part time and gave me her hours so I could keep my job. I was forever grateful!!! When she had appointments at Arrow Springs we would talk and she was a good friend to me!!

I worked with Maria in medical records at Bethesda North. She was such a loving person to spend time with. I know she will be missed. Prayers for her family.

My family was adopted by Maria and her family for Thanksgiving for quite a few years. Her kindness made the holiday even more special. My deepest sympathy to her entire family and especially Joe. Peace be with you all at this saddest of times.

We had the pleasure of being “back yard” neighbors with Maria and Joe. Maria’s gardens were a beautiful reflection of her care of and commitment to art and beauty. Our hearts go to you and your family, Joe.

I worked with Maria at Trihealth, and for the last several years we sat side by side, and she became such a dear friend. I loved how much she loved her family. She was so proud of her kids and she adored her grandkids. She always had a smile on her face, she always had words of encouragement and support to share, and she was honestly one of the kindest people I have ever known. I have such good memories of her, including going to her house and making homemade ravioli because she loved...

What a great friend and how much fun and memories we have shared over 24 years.
Peace be with you .
Love, Rob and Kathy

With Deepest Sympathy. In this time of loss, may you be surrounded by compassion, lifted by love, and comforted by the memories that will always remain close to your heart.

Maria was my co-worker at Trihealth, but more importantly, a great friend. Such a sweet and tender heart, always a shoulder to cry on. What a blessing to know her.

Maria was the kindest person. She worked side by side with my mom in Medical records. Joe and her attended family weddings and functions. She was just a nice person and she will be missed. It’s funny I can remember when she would ride every morning to work with my mom. My mom loved the company. She also told my mom when she was getting married to Joe. Joe is also a wonderful person and they were a perfect match. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Maria's Obituary

Maria Concetta Burr (nee Leonardi) passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 75. She was born March 26, 1950, to the late Annetta (nee Tortelli) and Guido Leonardi in Molazzana, Italy. At the young age of six, she and her family ventured to the United States. Maria was the beloved wife of Joseph “Joe” Burr for 54 years; loving mother of Heather (Keith) Burr-Daniel and Brian (Tammi) Burr; cherished grandmother of Olivia, Rocco, and Micah Burr; and dear sister of Giovanni “John” (the late Jan) Leonardi and Anthony “Tony” Leonardi, and the late Noemi (Ron, living) Luebbers and Loredona Farrell. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

For over 30 years, Maria was a fixture of the TriHealth community where she was dedicated to her career in Medical Records. Not only was she an employee of TriHealth, but she gave of her time and gifts to the TriHealth Women’s Auxiliary, where her passions for crafting and giving merged. Maria was a gifted artist who found joy in painting, basket making, and crocheting. She poured her love into every prayer shawl, crafted blanket, and patient head pillow she donated, providing tangible comfort to others. She lived a life of humbled faith, centered on kindness and action. Maria was also an excellent cook who lived by the philosophy that no one should leave her home hungry. Her home was a haven of hospitality and secret family recipes to be enjoyed by all. Outside their home, Maria and Joe shared a life of adventure. They loved to travel, exploring sights of both the United States and Europe. Together they created lasting memories to be cherished for eternity. Above all, Maria’s greatest joy was her family. She will be missed tremendously by all blessed enough to have known her.
