I was deeply saddened when my mom shared the news with me here in Dallas. Maureen was truly one of my favorite people.brilliant, funny, and endlessly interesting. Her love of music mirrored mine, and we were kindred spirits in so many ways. I remember how much she adored Gustav Klimt, and how we both fell in love with the Smashing Pumpkins before they were well known, even seeing them together at the Japanese Tea Gardens.
