It has been 6 years since the pillar of our family was taken away. We miss him every day and always will. We will never find anyone else like him. Everyone who knew him still feels his loss. We love you Mike.

You are deeply missed daily and always in our hearts

We still talk and laugh about Big Mike at Republic Services Pretty much on a weekly basis. Just goes to show how much Mike was loved by everyone. Words can’t describe how much he is missed.

Michael's Obituaries

Michael Kevin Schaufenbil, 53, of Lowell, MA, died August 2, 2017, at his home. Michael was born in Methuen on September 6, 1963 to the late Francis M. Schaufenbil and Gloria (Merri) Schaufenbil. Michael attended school in Lawrence but his true passion was operating heavy equipment. 10 years ago, Michael accepted a job with Republic Service (a.k.a BFI) and drove an automated truck for the company.

Michael is survived by his fiancé, Renee Desrochers of Lowell, his daughter Taylor Rose of Holyoke, MA, his two step-children Courtney Ayotte and Nathan Newcomb of Lowell and his sister Karen Demers and husband John of Derry, NH. Michael was predeceased by his sister Kristin Schaufenbil of Lawrence, MA. Michael is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and friends.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover, Ma.  A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 am.  Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Lowell, Ma.
