Michael P. Woebkenberg, of Sharonville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at the age of 76. He was born August 23, 1947 in Hamilton County to the late Frank P. and Lucille (nee Blevins) Woebkenberg. Recently preceded in death by his devoted wife of 50 years, Faye E. (nee Kirby) Woebkenberg, who passed away on June 5th of this year. Beloved father of Pam (Mark) Graham and Nick (Erin) Woebkenberg; “Papa” to his cherished grandchildren, Addy and Nora Woebkenberg and granddog, Toffee; loving brother of the late Linda Chapman, Barbara (Lonnie) Wheeler and Joyce (Don) Benbow; among a host of nieces, nephews, and dear relatives.
Mike grew up around Carthage and Valleydale and attended St. James of the Valley parish and school. He graduated from the former Courter Tech High School and joined the U.S. Navy Seabees (Construction Battalion) during the Vietnam War. After many years working for the IRS, he retired from his position as Management Analyst. Mike grew up a welcomed volunteer and contributor to the annual St Rita’s Festival with his century-old family recipe mock turtle soup which he would prepare up to 600 gallons!
Mike was a family man who creatively crafted countless Halloween and Christmas decorations. He will be deeply missed for his strong, honest spirit and mischievous sense of humor.
Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1st at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45241. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park followed by a reception at the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.MRFH.com
