Robert “Bob” Kenneth Olson Sr. was called home on September 3, 2025. Awaiting him with open arms were his mother, Irene; his brothers, Howard and Glen; his first wife, Karen; and his infant granddaughter, Trinity Rose.
Left to carry on his legacy are his loving wife of 29 years, Alicia Kim Olson; his brother, Joe (Carey) Olson; and his children, Donna (Jim) Morrison, Robert Jr. (Lisa) Olson, Dawn (Doug) Kalous, Athenna (Mike Miller) Brown, Seamus (Tarah) Joyce, Heather (Andrew) Whyte, and Patrick Joyce.
Bob’s memory and spirit will continue through his beloved grandchildren: Jesse Morrison, Jenna Olson, Journie Kalous, Jillian Olson, Harmonie Kalous, Christopher Smith, Norman and Carolynn Joyce, and John, Jack, Grant, and Emma Whyte.
Throughout his life, Bob wore many hats — from playing minor league baseball to running his own businesses, and even venturing into politics. After retiring, he settled in the great state of Texas, where he embraced the warmth of the community and continued to live life to the fullest.
Bob loved to travel, share laughter with family and friends, and was well-known for his generous heart and playful sense of humor. His love of “razzing” those he cared for will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Bob will be cremated. Three celebrations of life will be held in his honor:
