Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the Holy Rosary and Mass honoring Mr. Robert Portillos. Mr. Portillos was my first boss in my first job as a teacher. He gave a young educator a job and was supremely supportive in a challenging role. My career as an educator began at the New Mexico Boys' School with Robert Portillos as superintendent. That experience was the best education I ever had_hands down_in becoming an educator. I will be forever grateful to him, and I will pray for him...
