Roy L. Buttry, Jr., age 74, of Troy, IL born on March 27, 1940 in East St. Louis, IL died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Highland Healthcare, Highland, IL. Mr. Buttry was a horseman. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucinda ?Cindy,? nee Myers, Buttry; his daughter, Patty Robinson; his father, Roy L. Buttry, Sr.; and his mother, Dorothy L., nee Roberson, Potter. Surviving are his daughter, Debbie (Tom) Lorenzo of FL; his four grandchildren, Jerry (Amie) Robinson, Scott (Mendy) Robinson, Joe Robinson, and Alessia Lorenzo; two great-grandchildren, Janie and Jordynn Robinson; his two sisters, Deanna Schniers of Collinsville, IL and Connie (John) Obernuefemann of Troy, IL; his aunt, Gladys Moore of Belleville, IL; and his nieces, cousins, and friends. Thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Anderson Hospital for the excellent care you gave Roy. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the Buttry Family. Visitation: Friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, IL. Funeral: Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 in the Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, IL with Pastor Hal Santos officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Fairview Heights, IL.
