Not sure what to say?

Joy, all my love to you and your family. She will be missed !!

I am a volunteer at Gentiva Hospice. I met Shirley for the first time on Monday morning, October 27. How incredible, knowing little about her, that we spent our hour looking at pictures on my phone of wedding dresses my daughter tried on for her upcoming wedding, and all the various flowers I love to grow and plant in my yard. What an honor it was to meet Shirley. I too loved her bright smile and told her how beautiful she was. We also enjoyed sharing about our families. So sorry for...

May your memories of the wonderful times you shared with your loved one comfort you and your family, today and always.

She was one of my mom’s best friends and she was wonderful. She brought positive energy anywhere she went. I worked for her at Bridal Designs for a while when I was in high school. She was so much fun. I am so sorry for those who love her for your loss. ♥

Joy, your mom’s smile is what I remember most about her you have her same bright light! We are so sorry for your loss.

She will be greatly missed. Thoughts and prayers to family.

Your warm caring smile will be greatly missed and always remembered

She was my best friend and my confidant. My precious sister and my rock. She was always there when I needed her. To say I will miss her is an understatement. Rest in peace, my love. You deserve it. Love you forever and always. Your baby sister, Juanita.

Shirley's Obituary

Shirley Anne Wagner, age 95, passed away on Monday, October 27th, 2025. She was born May 20th, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Arthur and Helen (Ammon) Seefeldt. In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 69 years, Clayton C. Wagner.

She will be deeply missed by her children, Pamela (Steven) Coleman, Joy (Jon) Ecker, and David (Linda) Wagner; grandchildren, Jennifer (Josh) Gerstner, Jeff Coleman, Matthew, Daniel, and Nate Wagner; great grandchildren, Addy and Crosby Gerstner; and sister, Juanita Benton.

Shirley also leaves many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

Shirley was a woman of grace, creativity, and quiet strength whose warmth touched every life she encountered. Born and raised in the Hyde Park/Oakley area, she attended Withrow High School, where her lifelong love of art, design, and community began to blossom. Even from a young age, Shirley showed an independence and determination beyond her years. At just five years old, she would take her three-year-old sister Juanita on the city bus to visit their grandmother. It was a different time, and Shirley faced the world with confidence and care from the very beginning.

Her love for fashion and design led her to college, where she studied Art and fashion design. A gifted seamstress with a natural eye for beauty, Shirley’s talent with needle and thread earned her recognition early on, including winning her district sewing competition. Shirley later co-owned a bridal shop, where her skills brought joy to countless brides and families. Every stitch she made carried her signature blend of precision, elegance, and heart.

Shirley had many passions that reflected her joyful and nurturing spirit. She was an avid Bridge player and loved the friendly competition of a good game of Dominoes. A devoted fan of both the Bengals and the Reds, she could often be found cheering for her teams, whether watching the game on television or tuning in to 700WLW.

Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the comforting aromas of her Sunday dinners and her delicious Holiday cookies which the family loved to help in making. Shirley also found peace and pride in her garden, where her green thumb helped her earn a city Beautification Award from Reading. Her love of beauty extended beyond her home; she was known for her impeccable style and the warmth and order she brought to her surroundings.

A long-standing member of St. John United Church of Christ, Shirley lived her faith through kindness and service. She was always eager to lend a helping hand, offering care and compassion to those in need. To her family and friends, she was more than a mother, sister, or friend, she was a caregiver, a confidant, and a source of endless support and love.

Shirley’s legacy is one of creativity, generosity, and grace. Her presence brightened every room, and her love continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Funeral Service will take place at 10:00AM, Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45241. Burial will occur following service at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
