Marilyn Sue “Suzy” Perkins (Clendenin), of Springfield Township, passed away on the afternoon of December 30, 2025 at the age of 77. She was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio by her late parents, Curtis and Florence (Melampy) Clendenin.
Cherished wife of 32 years to her husband, Eric Perkins; loving mother of Adam Wallace (Mary Kathryn Flynt), Ashley (T.J.) Berndsen, Ryan Perkins, Carl Perkins and Andrea Perkins; grandmother to Samuel (Ellie), Sarah, Maribee and Ada Mae Wallace; Elliana and Maya Berndsen; sister to David (the late Brenda) Clendenin.
Suzy earned a master’s degree in education from Miami University in Oxford. For most of her career, she taught First and Second Grades at Lakeside Elementary in Winton Woods.
Suzy enjoyed reading and activities with her family that included traveling, sailing, kayaking, and bike rides. She was bubbly, optimistic, and generous. Throughout life, she maintained her strong faith and lived as a shining example through her selflessness and serving others well.
A memorial gathering will begin at 10 AM until the time of service at 11 AM Friday, January 9th at Kenwood Baptist Church, 8341 Kenwood Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45236.
