Not sure what to say?

I was so honored to know Terry and Rosa while they lived in Naples. We just absolutely all hit it off.

My memories are of Terry’s delighted smile, his pleasant, gentle manners and of course his deep love for Rosa and Erika. Never once did I ever hear a complaint. Nor did he ever give up hope. I will always associate Terry with his love also of “Skyline” - which makes me smile.

I also admired how loving, fiercely protective and tirelessly attentive Rosa was to Terry...

Terry was a great guy and will be missed. We are so sorry for your loss, Rosa.

Terry was a great man and will be missed. We are so sorry for your loss.

May the Lord be with you during this time and fill your heart with peace and love.

Single Memorial Tree

Rosa, I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I only recently met you guys, Terry always had great stories whenever I met up with you guys. Thank you for letting me into your lives!

Reach out if you ever need anything.

Love you Zio Terry

Zio Terry was such an incredible guy. His life was so inspiring in so many ways, not only did he accomplish so much, he was also such a warm, loving, family guy.
I love how he and Zia Rosa were always up for an adventure, and they sure found lots of them. I will always remember his smile. His whole face would light up in that Zio Terry kind of way, it always made you smile right back.
He was supportive and loving to all of his nieces and nephews, and we all felt that. I will...

Obituary

Terry's Obituary

Terry A. Trost, 65, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was born to the late Phyllis (nee Makin) and Donald Trost on March 15, 1960. Terry was the beloved husband of Rosa Trost (nee Ranieri) for 14 years; cherished stepfather of Erika Krekeler; dear brother of Ralph “Lee” (Trina) Trost, Tommy (the late Liz) Trost, and Lisa (Glen) Davis; and loved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews and cherished extended family.

Terry dedicated his life to serving his community with an unwavering passion. He began his career as a firefighter, bravely answering the call to protect and save. Later, he transitioned to law enforcement, serving as a police officer. Even after retiring from public service, Terry’s desire to help others continued as he operated a funeral escort service (MEOBA), providing comfort and guidance to families in their most difficult times.

Terry was truly one of a kind. He will be remembered for his incredible smile that exuded happiness in every interaction. His genuine warmth allowed him to forge friendships that lasted a lifetime. Terry loved deeply and accepted everyone as they were without judgment or reservation. His presence was a gift that will be remembered fondly by all blessed enough to have known him, especially his beloved wife, Rosa, and daughter, Erika.

Terry’s battle with ALS was a journey that required strength, support, and a positive mindset to navigate the highs and lows with grace and dignity. He never let it steal his joy. During his time on earth, Terry has taught us to focus on the moments of light and hope that shine through the darkness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all he touched forever.

Visitation in Terry’s honor will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd from 9:30am until the time of Funeral Service at 11:30am at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 10211 Plainfield Road, Evendale, Ohio 45241.
